  • Agustín Gaínza Gallery

The gallery’s namesake, a celebrated Cuban artist, shows his works here, as well as those of other contemporary Cuban and Latin American artists.

  • Archeo

Rare African masks and wood carvings, combined with dozens of stunning Persian rugs, make this shop one of the most beautiful in town.

  • Impressive mineral/nature store, with dinosaur fossils, natural and carved semiprecious gemstones, insects, shells, butterflies, skulls, animal mounts, etc.

  • A treasure-trove of Deco kitsch to take home as your very own. Everything from cutesy salt-&-pepper sets to really rather nice reproduction lamps.

  • Local artists live and work here, giving classes as well as selling their work.

  • Aventura Mall

Lord & Taylor, Bloomingdale’s, Burdines, and Macy’s are the upscale anchors, in addition to specialty stores including Abercrombie & Fitch, Ann Taylor, Guess?, J. Crew, FAO Schwarz, Fossil, and Clinique. Art galleries, some excellent restaurants, an international food court, and a 24-screen cineplex complete the picture.

  • The ultimate in chichi, down to the English spelling of “Harbour” (see Bal Harbour). Here are Hermès, Gucci, Armani, Dior, Bulgari, Tiffany, Versace, and Louis Vuitton, not to mention Chanel, Dolce & Gabbana, Prada, and Lalique. Need we say more? Well, okay, Nieman Marcus, and Saks Fifth Avenue.

  • Bayside Marketplace

This sprawling marketplace abounds with chain boutiques, the occasional trendy local shop adding spice. (see Bayside Marketplace and Bayfront Park).

  • Newly expanded, Boca’s premier mall just took a quantum leap into even greater luxury. It now has a Nordstrom to go with its Saks, Cartier, Tiffany, Lord & Taylor, Bloomie’s, and Williams-Sonoma. Set amid exotic foliage, skylights, handglazed tiles, and sculptural accents, there’s also a fancy cuisine court – no fast-food chain joints here! If you venture into downtown Boca, be sure to stroll through pastel-pink Mizner Park, where you’ll also find more chic shopping options.

  • Book and Books

Just a block off the Miracle Mile is this wonderful bookshop specializing in the arts and literature, as well as books on Florida. There’s a great café, frequent poetry readings, and book signings. Upstairs you’ll find a rare books room, which is also a photo gallery.
