  • Excellent value and loaded with charm, with its leafy courtyards and splashing fountains, right on the beach. Extras include free parking, bicycle use, chaises longues, tennis, barbecue, and a heated pool.

  • On a secluded lane in the lush heart of the Old Town district, not far from amenities. All rooms are smoke-free and decorated in cool, restful colors. Out back, there’s a relaxing tropical garden.

  • One of the most appealing of the Deco treasures. The décor is simple and comfortable, and rooms are quiet due to its location off the beaten path. Pluses include a remarkable restaurant and a fitness room.

  • Excellent value, considering the extreme chic that exudes from the cutting-edge restoration of this great Deco original. Check out the pool’s peek-a-boo portholes.

  • Key West’s only oceanfront adult alternative resort, catering to the most mixed clientele you can imagine. The biggest draw is the clothingoptional pool and sundeck right out on the Atlantic, which is pretty much “Party Central” most hours of the day and night.

  • Actually two hotels on opposite corners of 7th Street, these perfectly located Deco bon-bons are excellent value. You’re in the middle of SoBe’s most popular stretch, and you get comfortable rooms and a complimentary continental breakfast.

  • Tucked among towering palm trees on a white sandy beach, this is an intriguing Caribbean-style home where leisurely breezes prevail. Unique furnishings in each room. Breakfast is served in the atrium overlooking the ocean.

  • Definitely one of the coolest Deco buildings around, with its elaborate façade, and riot of Islandstyle color inside. The proprietors and staff are mostly Cubans – there’s a vivacity about the place that feels Caribbean. Rooms are spacious, though basic. Many have kitchenettes.

  • An extraordinarily exclusive feel at very reasonable prices. Accommodations range from villas, to rooms with or without kitchens, to penthouse suites. The distinctive wrap-around balconies add an unusually plush touch to the architecture.

  • You can’t say much for the name, but the property is actually four ’30s Art Deco sugar cubes (the Kenmore, Taft, Bel Aire, and Davis) spread over the entire block between 10th and 11th Streets. All are freshly restored and set amid spacious gardens.
